Did insanity intervals last night, will probably take today off. Tomorrow morning will be time for a long run.

Scott, interestingly enough, I am taking today off and have a long run planned for tomorrow. Maybe if we both run long enough we can meet in the middle....say western Iowa. :)

New to this thread. My primary fitness is running. I have averaged 2000+ miles per year for the last 5 years. Unfortunately, our local terrain is comparable to a pool table! (So most of my running is road or treadmill)

Currently at a solid base of 30-40 MPW. Tentatively targeting a 50K end of March.

In addition to running, I add in mainly body resistance exercises. Lunges, crunches, push ups, pull ups.

5 mile TM run today. 15 miler on schedule for tomorrow (Sat).

This was my first real run in a while. Was good to get back at it.

Tire bashing session this evening. Really is a good stress reliever to go five rounds with sledge hammer.

Down three pounds since Monday. My incisions are still healing so no lifting for me, yet. However, the morning and noon walk/runs are paying off. Time to put the pack back on with weight now that the scabs and swelling are gone.
Good deal Grizz, keep healing up!

As a flat lander preparing for western hunting, what kind of cardio would you recommend? I'm currently alternating between spinning, stair master, and incline treadmill jog/walk.

I think you are on the right track. Two planned days of hanging out at high elevation will do the most good if you are allready working out.
