Trying to drop that weight and not lose all the strength gains. Doing pretty good. Didn't get all five sets of five in at bench but I've had to change my routine a bit the last few weeks just to spice it up.

I figured why work so hard at dropping my pack weight when I can take a lot of the ole gut first.

Current strength

Bench 185 5 sets of 5
Squat 185 5 sets of 5
Romanian deadlift 185 5 sets of 5
Standing barbell press 95 5x5
BO Row 135 5x5

Been throwing in some dumbbell lunges and dumbbell cleans and some dips etc

I did nothing this week, feel like crap but body needed to rest....so it told me with a nasty head cold! Still down to 210ish, almost at fightin' weight! 5 lbs to go!

Sunday: Before the 90+ degree weather rolls through this week, I cut down/cut up 2 large trees for winter wood. They were dead and ready to go. Figured I'd do it when I had the time and not when they fell this winter and I was busy (hunting of course!)

Sunday was an off day but ended up chasing the 2.5 year old around in the pool and teaching how to swim more. That was 2 hours of fun and burns pretty good calories

Then today we had a double header in soft ball again so played for 2.5 hours in the heat makes for another good work out

You're killing me Mike! lol By the way, you inspired me to start back up on the 5x5 program.

Monday
Incline Bench: warm up & work up to 5x5 at 205lb
Chest D/B work, EZ Curls, Hammer Curls, & Traps

I'd show you guys my Fitbit exercise heart rate but it'd just be my normal resting heart rate

Yes, a similar power rack. See attached if I load pic correctly.

I wish my rack had more plate storage besides the two posts on back that are more for keeping the rack from sliding.

Ole lady interrupted my workout other day after standing military presses and deadlifts. Needed to make dinner so she could finish getting ready for kid's birthday party and getting rid of a bunch of toys. Who am I to complain, I've been wanting her to go through that crap

Well i felt a little sore tuesday after the double header monday. So in stead of my normal 3-4 mile run figured id see what my single mile time is. It was muggy and had to run after dark so was running by head lamp and trying to make sure i didnt find a nice hole.

So here is the first mile i thought it was pretty good with a 9ish mile time

After that i walked for about 10 mins and tried it out again and got a 10 min mile

Not to bad not near my personal best but the conditions werent great and i was feeling sore. And its a lot better then my times would have been back in January

Markus, you have really made some big improvements! Proud of you bud!

Tuesday was a good morning. I PR'ed my total time, and my uphill time on my up and down hill 4.7 mile run. I broke 35 minutes for the 2.85 mile ascent

Here is a 52 week Graph of my runs...

We spend a lot of time at the pool with the kids during the summer as well. Keep moving for a nice workout.

Monday attended grappling practice, and then drove to the range and fired four shots at 200 yards. Very interesting how fatigue affects the mind.
