Getting back on track on my running this week. 55.4 miles logged and that's even taking a day off this week. Got in some good hill work on a couple of those workouts as well. Been listening to an audio book and it has me looking forward to my runs a little more than I normally would. Made my 3 hour long run on Saturday go by pretty quick. Just 1 hour left to find out how it all ends.

Npaden, that is a lot of miles! I am happy with two per week over 5 miles and 2 weight sessions. This was tonight's, 5 minute walking warm up, then 1.5 miles running, half mile walking for the duration of the workout. Next run will be for straight distance.

Hit the back hard tonight after doing a sprinkler install all day. Started with deadlifts, ended with hanging leg raises for the core and face pulls to improve my archery muscles.

Scott you are becoming a running machine!! Did a lower body work out yesterday afternoon. Going to start hitting the 90s here later in the week. I might need to do start doing my weekly trek before sunrise!

well, I thought I had figured out the exercise ap on my phone. I set out last night for a run, ready to record it as others do. Well, I must have hit a button or something, cause it showed my run only being 16 seconds long and a gingerly clip of 4.7 mph......oh well.

Did my pre-dawn Hike this morning and it was very humid out. Been doing a 70 lb pack at around 18.30 minute a mile for 4 miles but not this morning. This morning it was 19.41 average per mile with the 70lb pack. As fast as I put the water in it was sweat out. Felt like I was in a swimming pool!! All I can say is " Dont quit and press on! "

Last night's workout was 5 rounds of:

DB Bench
Close grip Press
Pull Overs
Throw Downs
Tricep Ext.
DB Squats
Curls
Sledge Hammer and tire

The workouts aren't necessarily getting easier, but I am able to push it a little faster to finish with good form.

When I was in Iowa a couple of weeks ago I felt like I was breathing water while I ran it was so humid. Really flat though there too!

Pushed the distance up this morning with some interval running.Tomorrow is a weight day and then Monday will be straight distance. I am going to start setting time goals for distances now that I have some distance built. Any of you veteran runners have pace advice for 6 miles straight?
