Gritty, non-stop trail run this morning....450’ of gain in the first 2 miles, 430’ in the last 2.75, 1649 total gain. Usually take a few breathers on these woods runs as there is some steep rugged stuff, but kept moving the entire time today. Good to know what you’re capable of, wont lie though, Im a hurtin boy haha.

Still fighting allergies thus breathing was tough so I tried to focus on heart rate training. It was still a little too elevated for my liking but I think that?s in part due to my cold.

I tweaked my lower back about a week ago and haven't been able to work out.
I can feel myself slowly turning into the Pillsbury dough-boy.

Was very happy to walk it though with my wife as she never has done a 5k and has never run at all so was proud of her running about the first 1/3 mile and last 1/2 mile with me.

Sunday

Got my weight lifting in today moving the elliptical around in the basement and then yup a flight of stairs man those things are heavy

Just think of all the people who were lazily sitting in a recliner or lying on a couch as you were going by their house. Nice work Marcus!
Very true. It was a cross country race through an orchard. Forgot how much harder trail runs are over the nice flat sidewalks lol

the physical therapist definatley worked me on Saturday. Ankle was throbbing after pt. However I was walking better the next day.
There is most defiantly a time of no pain, no gain.

Well the diet imploded today, just racked up 2800 total calories for the day after my post workout snack. Oh well, been a long time in cut mode, 1 big splurge wont hurt. Anyways....chest tonite - 38 mins.

Just did a test run of my local 5k coming up on Sunday. An entire year’s worth of hard work paid huge dividends. Course is painted, ends up 3.06 miles & I couldnt be happier right now!!! Crazy headwind for the first half. Gotta repeat or beat this performance Sunday morning!!!
