This has been very good for me too. Reminds me daily that I am supposed to be doing it. That and Marcus's consistency makes me feel bad for ever making an excuse...
Honestly i really dont know where my drive comes from

My back is finally feeling pretty good so I had a normal full workout after a light partial workout last Friday which left my lower back a little sore. Figured I shouldn't push it since I didn't want to set myself further back in my routine.
It could just be in my head but it seems I feel better overall when I do workout regularly.

Good run Marcus. From my observation, you may be starting out a bit to fast. I believe if you slow your first mile down just a tad, your average mile times will flow more evenly and over-all you'll have a better race time. Probably average closer to 9:15-9:30 for the race.
Good luck this Thursday! I know you can do it if you don't burn out too quick. Of course we all run faster longer on race day.
I'm looking for <47:30 before the bird comes out of the oven.

Yeah im hoping for right around that kinda time 47-48 min. Yeah ive noticed i start out at my normal 5k pace not tuning it down a bit for the extra distance. Something i need to work on a bit. As im push for the little bit longer runs. Drove the course today to get my self familiar with the route and what kinda hills and things ill run into on the run. Was able to do that since its in my families home town. And we are there for the visitation and funeral.

I probably wont get any workouts in till Tuesday night when i get home. Today had a family get together. Monday we have the visitations and Tuesday is the funeral.

Saturday night I got to my bike about an hour after last light and had a 3 mile peddle out. I attatched my deer head to the front rack and sat down for a minute reflecting on the day. In my head I was already at the truck, the 3 mile peddle will be easy. and it was, granted I had done that ride quite a few times in my life and riding in the dark is not bad at all, especially with good lights. But basically it felt really good, to be in the woods solo after dark and have a heavy load and not be concerned at all about getting out. All three animals came out on bikes this year.

This week is going to be rough on me! Only one official Thanksgiving dinner, however there will be plenty to eat.

Everything in moderation...

Good work Marcus, I think I might need to do a short turkey trot around the neighborhood before I dig into the turkey!

Between mile 3 and 4 was a good sized hill with switch backs. Passed a lot of people there and where i picked up pace

Congrats! Looks like a good run. That mile 4 time is what got you. Nonetheless, a strong run with the hills bro.
Now enjoy some turkey.
