I own a commercial Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning Company in Reno Nv.

I'm working hard at being retired for 9 years now.

After 33 years in the telcom industry. I worked on everything from open wire and the old crank phones to micro waves and fiber optics. I was also a electrician working on homes, light industrial, and then in the oil fields.

Now I just work around the house and plan for the next hunting season.

I’m an independent registered investment advisor (RIA) managing retirement plans for small companies and doing financial planning/ investments for individuals. I started my business in 1995. I also do some editing and writing for Eastmans, mainly MRS and research articles.

30+ years in higher education, with a brief 2 year stint as a computer consultant at Monsanto in St. Louis.

University life has been interesting...hall director for 450 bed all male freshman residence hall (talk about testosterone, and once had an active shooter in my building), campus activities (got to meet Jim Lovell, Dave Chappelle, Whitey Herzog), judicial affairs, student life, facilities / operations. For the past 8 years I have been in charge of undergraduate academic advising at a small private not-for-profit university in Nebraska. Staff of 17 reporting directly to me, and we serve 6,000+ students.

Also a part time photographer (helps pay for all my hunting gear and trips : )

I'm a cardiac sonographer. I work in a private practice cardiology group and spend all day in a dark room smaller than the tent I stayed in while elk hunting last week doing ultrasound imaging on patients with varying levels of heart disease. I tell people I am not really someone you want to get to know on a professional level.
