I think it also depends what style of hunting you want to do or prefer. What type of hunting do you do now? Hunting sage brush lowlands, high country, timber, prairie? I guess it all just depends how long you want to wait to draw and what style of hunting you prefer.

Welcome to eastmans! Dont rule out Nevada. Your not far from Idaho either. Colorado would be my first choice for a highcountry out of state hunt.

Either way welcome to the forum. We like to raz the new guys to the forum and their first post is asking where to hunt. Contribute to the forum and you will find there is a lot of help here. Nev is always a great state to hunt and with FnG giving out so many tags now is the time to try for tags. CO is a great state as well.

Thanks too all who replied to my question. I typically hunt 12,000 to about 6,500 but I'm willing to try anything. I'm just trying to see what every ones opinion was on the states around me. Trust me I'm not the kind of guy that asks for a specific unit or what ridge i need to be on i can figure that out myself. Just trying to get a little idea on what state to focus on. i appreciate everyone who is willing to help me and i will gladly help if anyone needs info on Utah. thanks again guys!!!!
