I've been a FORD guy for years. I use my 2000 Ford Expedition (with 210K miles). I've had it in some pretty tough terrain and it's always come through for me.

Depends on the day. Daily driver is my wife's Mini Cooper Countryman, trip to the mountains - Jeep Wrangler Rubicon unlimited, trips to the dump-2000 Dodge ram 1500, snow plowing-1994 Gmc 1500. And sometimes my wife's Tahoe
All these new trucks are very nice and comfortable thats true. But what would any of you guys get in them with mud all over your boots
and blood all over your clothes from packing out an animal? I don't think so, you've spent 40-$60,000 on these vehicles so you're going
to treat them like delicate little babies. You wouldn't dare take them somewhere they might get a scatch on them either.

2nd week I had my 09 Chevy diesel I took it up a four wheeler trail and got millions on scratches and didn't think twice.....then while elk hunting I slide off the road in a 6" quakie and dented the passenger fender pretty bad.....took a plunger and popped the big portion out and left the little ones for character.....most folks baby there trucks, mines for hunting!!
I'll avoid the pin stripes, but I'll get in mine covered in blood, mud & cow ****. For serious hunting a diesel is an old Indian phrase for "sinks like a rock" so there's usually a jeep and ranger on a float trailer behind it if I really need to get somewhere.

Just did a 6.0 Transmission cooler swap out in the 2001 Excursion today. While I was doing it did a transmission flush as well. Very good results withe the cooler swap out. Took her for a long drive and the transmission is running between 10-15 degrees cooler than with the old 7.3 cooler!! I like it!!

My current rig is a 2014 Dodge Ram 2500 HD Hemi 5.7. Just picked it up last week. I had a 2004 ram 1500 hemi a few years back it really was an awesome truck. Before this recent purchase I drove a Toyota Tundra with the 5.7...IMHO the best half ton pickup built, but I traded it off because I needed the extra payload capacity and 8' bed to put my Polaris Ranger 570 in the back and tow my 26' trailer and gear at the same time.
This new truck is a SLT model - so pretty basic, but still plenty nice. Cant wait to fill that nice white bed with a bloody elk.

I a 2005 Chevy Colorado extended cab that I load up and head west. But I also have a 2010 Hummer H3 adventure that I have taken to Wyoming. The H3 has electric lockers front and back. It's no mall crawler
