Got it back form the taxidermist and he scored it over 83" it will be interesting to have it officially scored and see if her first animal ever makes book. its currently in a big buck contest with mine, would be awesome to pull a first and second fingers crossed. whos ready for next year? i am!

Congrats, now that you've said the alarm call I wonder if that was what heard when I was hunting. I thought it was the challenge call so I called the same thing back then they ran off. Congrats again I hope to get my wife out next time I go! Way to go!

Old thread reborn but I'm glad it did. You did a great job on setting up for the trophy shots. As I get older I find that I enjoy looking at the trophy photos of hunts more than mounts; especially if I have my kids or buddies in the photos. Taking the time to do setup prior to the shot is really important to me. I look back at some of the photos of me posing with deer in the back of a truck bed or still attached to a 4-wheeler and wish I would have done things a little different back then.
