Been trying to get my archery hunting/shooting going again. Whats some good quiet vanes? I came across an article years ago with a bunch of different vanes that were tested, but can’t seem to find it.

I shoot 4 fletch 2" blazer vanes. I think they are pretty quiet.

At a friends suggestion, I tried going the feather route one year. I switched back.

I’ve been doing some more research and feathers seem to be the loudest. A parabolic design seems to be the quietest. Something else I keep coming across, is the stiffer the vane the more quiet it will be.

I saw this a while back and thought it was interesting. TAC vanes are very stiff. You just need to use the primer and glue that TAC makes, as regular super glue won't stick them effectively. The stiffness is a plus, but it also makes fletching them a little more difficult to get right.

It’s funny you bring up TAC vanes because I was just giving them a hard look. Trying to figure out if I could fletch them.

Why did you go with the OMP over a Bitzenburger? Every I have talked to about fletching, always recommend the Bitzenburger.

The OMP is similar to the Bitz with a few little upgrades, based on the reviews I've seen. Josh Jones at Podium Archer had a good review of it on his YouTube channel. I don't think you can go wrong with the Bitz though.
