So this weekend I spent about 8 hrs walking around my father in laws west tx ranch looking for some whitetail sheds, here's what I found! The 10 pt set was my first complete set. I found the first along a trail, then found the second about 50 ft later. I think they are from a couple yrs ago. The big 8 set is from a deer we have history with. We named him Hollywood for loving the camera. The set I found were his from 2012-2013. If it wasn't for a doe diving in front of my arrow, (I have it on camera otherwise I wouldn't believe me either) I might have gotten him this year. I'm planning on mounting and displaying them. The other 2 halves of an 8 pt were the only I found from this year so far. Makes me think they all haven't dropped yet. I still can't believe I found a set of hollywood's though. Hope you guys enjoy hitherto pics!

Also, if any of you have any tips on where to look for sheds, I'd appreciate it.

Have some buddies that set up shed catchers. Basically it is a feed station that has t posts all the way around. They make the gaps close enough so deer bump their antlers while getting the feed. The collect many sheds this way...

I have seen shed catchers made by making a feed station by using T-Post and Panel wire in a V shape so when the deer bumps the wire while feeding , it works but I have never tried myself.
Hunted on Ranch in Texas they had Black Lab. that was good at finding them, I quess either way saves some shoe leather.

Unfortunately not :( My wife and I tracked her well over 500 yds before losing blood. Found several big pools of blood with air in them along the way. I'm guessing it was a single lung hit and she was just tough as hell. That was a rough day.

Did you kill the doe?

Hey Logan,

I just now checked my camera from two months ago! This buck was on there, it was around the time you were hunting. I couldn' remember which weekend you were out here. Oh well he is no giant, and will be much bigger next year.
