To the first remark I say not a chance. Many serious hunters are very aware of Fed, State, Tribe, etc. ownership. ie: the sort of folks you are communicating with on the EF. Many of us carry landownership maps/gps with us while afield.... Most of you people forget that the states already manage public lands, ...

To the second remark, I suggest you put this in your pipe, http://www.opb.org/news/article/oregon-announces-details-of-elliott-state-forest-sale/ smoke it a bit, and reconsider your blanket statement. There are many examples of state owned land sales. Neither form of govt. ownership is perfect.
I do completely agree with the idea of Feds holding title and states being much more involved with management decisions, particularly local stake holders and users. Most of the $ would likely still need to be Federal.
