My five year old and i went looking for the big whitetail on thurday but just couldn't find one i wanted to shoot instead we stalked on a couple coyotes and now he is hooked on coyote hunting. i skinned the one out for him to get tanned because he wants it in his room.

i have been getting very frustrated this year hunting west river cause just have spent so many hours out scouting and hunting and just haven't been able to find a shooter deer, so my wife and i went out on friday morning and just decided to shoot two does for sausage and jerky and then hunt on saturday east river for the opener since she drew a tag. Sorry no pics of the does. So saturday my wife and i went to hunt east river opener since she drew a any whitetail tag. We spotted a very nice whitetail just as the sun was coming up got within 250 yard for her to take a shot but she didn't have a steady rest so just waited. Then we got into some crp and crawled on our hands and knees for 200 yards to try and get a shot but by the time we set up they got on to private land and couldn't shoot so we watched 50 mules and about 20 whitetails bed then went and ate and came back at 1pm and sat till dark. We had a giant julie at 100 yards from us for about 2 hrs and many other nice mules but she didn't have a mule deer tag but i had a bow tag but never brought my bow and i was so frustrated but had a great time taking pics and watching them all. Had a nice whitetail bedded that we watched the after noon and he got out of his bed and came on the public but was just a few minutes past shooting light. But over all it was a great time with my wife and seen a lot of good deer here are a few pics of saturday i took through my spotter.
