It's my year to host the Superbowl party for family and friends. I always make the same old appetizers......salmon dip, tri-tip nachos, spinach dip yada yada..... I want to do something different this year and I'm completely drawing a blank. I need your help!!!!! If you have something really tasty, and you're willing to share your secret recipe, it'd be greatly appreciated!!

Scallops wrapped with bacon = heaven! Venison chili, I like to use as a dip for big events for something different. If you have game meat to share, kabobs are also a favorite..... My wife has a go to dip and is easy to make, a brick of velveeta and a can of rotel, makes for a warm cheese dip with some kick to it.

Frito candy & Hawaiian roll sandwiches, pinwheels (if recipe doesn't call for jalapeño then don't use it), crockpot full of BBQ lil smokies.

Bacon wrapped venison sliders go over very well. I like to use elk.

I also make on the grill jalapeno poppers- amazing. Buy whole canned jalapenos. Split them lengthwise and clean out the seeds. Fill the cavity with softened cream cheese (don't overfill). Add real bacon bits on top and sprinkle with a light coating of garlic powder and chili powder.

Take some blackstrap steaks... Or any steaks and cube them to about 1/2" or 3/4" at most. Get a pan really hot with olive oil in it and drop the steak cubes in and fry em up. Salt and pepper to taste. These things done ever last long at my house! They won't take long to cook and are crazy delicious.

Take fresh live Oysters and put them on a medium grill. Get a small metal pot and put in 1-2 cubes of butter, tbs or two of finely chopped garlic, and some Tabasco sauce ( or your fav), set on edge of grill to melt/heat. When the shells open 1/4-1/2", ladle in about 1/2 tsp of the mixture, cook another 5 min or so and enjoy.

Slice a kielbasa about a quarter inch thick then slowly simmer with a cup of beer (darker the better) and a cup of brown sugar. There is nothing healthy about this recipe but it tastes so good.

FYI- Do not let it get cold at the party, the fat starts to separate and rise up to the top. Looks disgusting!
