Being out in nature a lot is very relaxing and what we all love to do. Sometimes we hear or see mysterious things that are unexplained or spooky. Please share anything like this that has happened to you, while hunting or hiking, that you can't explain.

I had one this past spring turkey hunting. I was hunting a little wooded lot and was approaching the property line. I was not very high up on the mountain and the property owner I was hunting on has a house fairly close to treeline. All of a sudden I hear a racket like a couple people yelling and it sounds like someone screaming like I would be trespassing on their property. It's coming from where I just walked from, which was all the same property and not from the house, but a lot closer. Looking all around, I don't see a thing. Needless to say I headed back to the truck on pins and needles and never saw or heard a thing. Got to the truck/house and no one is home. Don't have the faintest clue what it was.

Write it down. That bear would have died and the story would have never been told. That could have turned out very differently.

Got a video of it last year to show, we ran into a group of cow elk so I'm assuming this wierd noise is a bull but he just sounds messed up. This was taken in late August and really creeped me out since we never saw him to confirm it really was an elk. But he kept responding to our bugle as best as it could.

I'm curious to see what you guys think

Jordan, was that recorded during the Bigfoot rut by chance? Strange indeed, but likely an Elk with a messed up larynx, my guess anyway.

Sounds like a beef bull to me. This year while muzzy elk hunting, I was calling to locate the bull elk we had spotted. After a few minutes I was able to get him to talb back. At this point, below me a beef bull sounded off as well. He was clearly irritated at all the ruckus. Anytime I bugled or the elk bugled he went off, sounding similar to what you have on the tape. It was almost deafening how loud this beef bull got.

tdub,

You are correct. Where I grew up hunting they regularly grazed cattle in the national forest. I head them all the time. Sounds exactly like a beef bull to me.
