Most areas in western Wyoming are closed to shed hunting untill spring. Following him would probably be considered wildlife harrassment in Wyoming. Not sure what Colorado's laws are.
Colorado does have restrictions in some areas but not in others. I have no clue what area this moose is in. With Moose sometimes shedding in December a guy might have a chance to pick his antlers up around Christmas before any state's restrictions start? I surely wouldn't harass the moose- I figure following day old tack just might work?

The tag would be tough as I think they only give out 1 but I dont put in for moose - maybe that should change :)! The size is amazing or just how big moose are is cool as they just dwarf elk/deer.

Thanks and if I get a pic of him in 2015 I will post it up.
That sure is a great moose ColoradoV !! If you have some preference points you should put in for a tag ... maybe even if you don't ... can't hurt to try!

Thanks but you would need a snow machine to get where this guy has to spend his winters. A friend of mine did find a moose shed on top of the snow so it is interesting that they shed early.

Here are a few others with potential that I was able to get a pic of.

Unfortunatly the reason I was walking into this basin is below and did not return. Hunted him 2 years after watching him grow up for 3. Had him inside of 20 yards once on inside of 40 two others but could not get it done. RIP old fella always cool to run into a pic of this buck for me..

This is a GREAT bull! My son took the first bull moose in Boulder County History in 2011 and Eastman's printed the article in 2012.IMG_7567.jpg
