Solid Moose

Here is a moose I ran into for a few years in a row now. I hope to see him back this year summer he has gotten quite large.

Here is a couple of him from the year before or August of 2013. Yea he is huge I went in to check him out with my 71 year old pops this past summer. I told him as we were heading to the trail head that the big bull is as big as a full size 4 door truck he called bs. Once we saw him he said I was right!

I wonder how much bigger he will get in 2015..

Getting the tag is the tough part...he sure is a dandy Shiras. I've seen a few in Western Wyoming of that caliber. Impressive!

The tag would be tough as I think they only give out 1 but I dont put in for moose - maybe that should change ! The size is amazing or just how big moose are is cool as they just dwarf elk/deer.

That's the kind of moose that is worth following for his sheds. I think I would snow shoe in early January just to find them... If your willing to give up the area, I would be willing to make a shed hunting trip!

It may be hard to figure out where he migrates to but it would be worth a shot to me.

Most areas in western Wyoming are closed to shed hunting untill spring. Following him would probably be considered wildlife harrassment in Wyoming. Not sure what Colorado's laws are.
