I was cruising around on some other forums and came upon this video that shows a number of different euro skull wall mounts. It does include a couple of the more popular ones and a few that I have never heard about.

He does say that he is concerned with whitetail deer skulls but I am sure that most of them offer other mounts for larger animals such as elk.

That's a good video. I used his review to order a few of the Rack Brackets several months ago. Really slick mount. Easy to take the skull off if you want to look at it and nothing is left attached to it.

I thought that the video was interesting. Also soccer ball test to see if everything would hang together.

I used the Dead On Display for my euro elk skull.

My wife-who is a woodworker and handy (ok, that sounded kinda bad let's move on lol! [emoji38]) did something with heavier duty zip ties through one of the natural path ways inside the skull/jaw with my mule deer, and hung the skull/antler holder on the wall using a french cleat system she made herself from some nicer scraps of lumber from her woodworking projects.

If you look carefully towards the back corner of skull-its kinda shadowed-you will see the white zip ties. Looking head on or even side ways in the room, the zip ties are basically invisible against the white bone.

Ok- I get it. Your wife is handy with the wood as stated. I am not going there. Never talk about another mans wife.

Nice handy work on the display. Tell her I said nice rack. [emoji23]

Im not a huge fan of skull mounts but that is certainly a great way to do it. It sure beats the $35 "skull hooker" my wife bought me!

Prerylyon...... now this, IMO, is a very nice way to display a skull. Simple yet slick looking. Thanks for sharing.
'Cat,

Really it was all my wife and kids; believe it or not, the skull sat in a crate for nearly 3 yrs waiting for me to hang it; she did some research, and she came with what you see; they surpised me with it last Father's Day, it was hanging on the wall on the way to my study. [emoji4]

Regards,

The use of the frame is not only ingenious, but adds a realy awesome nostalgic touch that will let you relive the hunt! I love it. [emoji106]
