Sorry to hear that. Now is a great time to catch up on inexpensive/manual labor projects around the house for sure.

Our Gov issued a stay at home edict yesterday taking effect at 6:00 am today. I have plenty to do to get ready for irrigation water being delivered next week. Lots of small projects on tap also.

so far ,not many staying home here.
I can't really blame them.
we are supposed to believe this is a dire crisis and a threat to our very way of life but construction workers are deemed essential, liquor store is essential, fast food is essential. is it any wonder no one takes It serious????

in my mind ,if this is really such a dire threat to our existence, the only essentials are health care and emergency responders, maybe military. perhaps some utility workers .

if this is indeed the crisis we are led to believe it is ,ALL ELSE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!

why isn't it?????? I can only logically conclude , because this is not the crisis it is being made out to be.

That is not the only logical conclusion at all.
Another logical conclusion is that people in this country enjoy being independent so they're just continuing to do whatever they want …
even if the virus is real and they're being foolish.

Remember, ya can't fix stupid!!

If it wasn’t for Blaine county, we may not even got the order to stay home. I had to go pick some stuff from the auction today before they closed for the shutdown and there was definitely less people on the freeway and around town.

it is so f'ed up. I have to close my furniture store for 21 days, but a tackle shop can stay open. 3 weeks of business bills with no sales coming in. This will not be fun. 3 week shut down, will cost me roughly $600,000 between lost revenue and what i have to transfer to cover my bills. trucking companies expect you to be open, the state expects you to be closed. fun times. 2019 was my best year ever, i was up for the year after febuary. March was the worst than any month of the great recession. I will survive, but i will be coming out of this with no savings left.

Yea it is crazy what is “essential”. Somehow guided fly fishing float trips are around here as well..

I make the poison ☠ or am a brewer / distiller and folks are drinking like fish so no worries for me.. Crazy amount of business and covid exposure going through liquor stores up here.. I would not want to be one of those kids selling the poison to the masses that basically line up everyday.

I am even now still skeptical that all this shutdown b s is necessary.

I am however abiding by it anyhow. even though I don't believe it's going to do much good restraining the "supposed " plague of the century .

what good is shutting down a few things yet still sending out half the nation to work, so they can just get exposed and bring it back to their loved ones in quarantine?????? just makes no sense to me . either it is as bad as we are led to believe or it isn't.

if it really is, very few of the population are really essential.

seriously .we are supposed to believe this plague will wipe out millions(it won't) but the things I mentioned above stay open.

construction??????? what good is a new building when the ones it's being built for are dead?

lawn maintanence workers????????? well sure . we can't expect folks who are laid off to mow their own lawns, lol. much better to have them exposed to help spread the fear. ;) :D

booze and drugs I understand . our weakling society can't face reality in the best of times

I have to go along with the statement of President Trump, that the cure shouldn't be worse than the virus. This whole event is hard to watch/experience. Governors are acting like dictators, imposing their wills over our constitutional rights.

We'll get thru this, but we will all be made to suffer for it. But, based on my years of interacting with our "Eastmans Forum Family", my bet is we'll come out of it even stronger, and certainly better than average.

Gods blessings on all of you! Be safe and healthy.

I AGREE .

I've been saying that all along.

it hasn't been a popular stance.

so...I decided to go along with the quarantine , because I am good and faithful ,civil servant ;) :Dand I find out that the very people in panic ,aren't willing to quarantine???????????

I consider this quarantine stuff to be nothing but a half assed , feel good measure to make stupid people feel a wittle better.

There is a store near my house that has a sign out front in huge letters that says:

"For the first time in 40 years we are closed for buisness, Thanks China."

This virus has killed the constitution. The numbers the models gave are way over blown, and it has caused governors to act like the little socialist they always wanted to be. I'm tired of it. Good thing is that I've gotten a little fishing done.

let's face it, the constitution has been all but dead for a very long time now.
maybe the one good thing that will come from this virus is people might begin to notice??????
