September 1 always kicked off my families hunting season. Dad & I started with Doves, next was Deer hunting in the High Sierras, Antelope in Wyoming, Elk in Colorado and Ducks & Geese until the end of January. Last hunted with Dad in 2008 when he was 90 and he got his elk here in Colorado. miss him a lot, especially at this time of the year.

One of my Dad's friends was a professional photographer and took it. I have a few that he took. Here is another. My Dad took me out of school for a weeks hunting trip. First horseback, pack into backcountry I took. My avatar is another one. Notice no camo...LOL!

I wear camo some now but mostly don't. when I was A KID , SEEMED MOST FOLKS just wore jeans , and I recall a lot of red flannel shirts.

had a horse as a kid that was a complete asshole. looking at above pick (eyes and ears) reminds me of that horse.
when trying to catch him , for a ride ,he'd put his ass to you and try an kick you . and every single time , the first on his back, he'd try an buck off. then he'd be fine from there on out but every time he was caught and saddled , he went through the same lil rituall.
had a lot of adventures on that bastard though.

lol. rockin them cloths in this pic!
