i had that whitetail patterned to a T, then the land owner found out that he was on his land and didn't want me to hunt until he hunted first. then never got a tag and then someone shot it during rifle season. Is this the one your talking about.

Yes that is the one I was talking about. The muley looks interesting and they are more fun to hunt anyways. That is one heck of a whitetail though.

Did you ever hear the score on that whitetail Brady? He's a dandy. You better put that mule deer in your freezer this season!

I never did find out what he scored. It was 60 miles west of me and the pic of it when it got shot went around and no one knew what it scored. I compared it to my trail cams pics and it looked the same. I would like to meet the guy and see it in person.

A few more from me. I counted 16 different bucks yesterday that would finish in the 140 to 160" class. Got to look over a bunch of little ones before you find a big one!

Not quite as interesting as watching a big buck grow but here's one of mine from this weekend.

We were scouting a ridge in north central Colorado when we found this rub from last fall, full of elk hair.

Hopefully I will be out covering ground every weekend until the week before archery opener.

Seems to be a lot of young bucks this year and that is good to see.

Looked over another 14 younger bucks as well as a handful of forkies today and got a few pics.

I got a few more pics downloaded and if you are going to get around in these hills ya have to have a vehicle that can handle it!

Also a couple of moose today not a bad bull.

I just love this time of the year. Seeing what animals return, hearing a buddy found a 350+ bull, or saw a promising buck to check out. Looking over fuzzy photos sent over texts..

Went to a different area and turned up a group w a couple better bucks then saw something at looong distance last night, what looked like at 5+ miles, could be, or well is going to end up in a long walk to check out... Yea I love this time of year!

It started life as a 1991 ford explorer. Spent a year in a police impound lot as it was totaled and basically there was another 91 explorer in the same lot so a friend I know well took the 2 and came out w 1 sick rig. It is a 6" lift sitting on 35" tires locked both front and rear. Only thing wish it had doors sometimes but the defogger works great you just get used to dust and keep rain gear in the back! Super fun rig for sure, it goes just about anywhere short of full rock crawler stuff, and you dont even notice it if she gets a scratch. While you dont want to drive it a 100 miles on pavement it handles very well on paved road and can cruise the paved pass roads at normal speeds w no death wobble at all.

She got in a workout earlier today as the 3:30 am wake up call and it was a 5 mile one way hike at 11,000' was worth it.. It only took looking over 60+ bucks but I have finally found a good one.

I thought that looked like the old front end of an explorer or ranger. I thought at first it was an old explorer sport trak but that didn't fit either. Very cool ride.

I think you found your buck; looks like a stud.
