Awesome mntnguide! Notice you're using victory shafts; same one's that I do. Maybe I'll get my first one yet! Although I will be happy with one at 20 yds, let alone 50!

I've done it twice, the first time at 20 yards and the last time during an archery shoot at 50 yards. Funny thing is the last one the guys arrow I robin hooded was closest to the bull!

haha those are so cool. I did it one time on my second day learning to shoot a bow, a total luck shot. I was shooting rings and shot just outside of ring then my next arrow was one I found and was a 300 the ones I was sighting bow for were 400. so by chance it stuck right into the nock. I have poked through others vanes though. sweet shooting mtguide!

I did one about 10 years so with a old Fred Bear recurve at maybe 20 yards. When I moved to Wyoming I brought it with and my wife gave me the do we really have to haul that 900 miles? Hangs in my shed today still.

I've had a couple many years ago while shooting with a club I belonged to. Each time there were a ton of arrows "aluminum" in the target. I chalked up my robin hoods to pure shit house luck. Congrats on your first.......they are cool

Im liking the Victory shafts so far...hopefully i dont to this again often, cause i will need to start buying more! All in all i was just trying to get my 50 yard pin dialed in, so when i headed down range and saw that..I was stoked. I should have bought a lottery ticket to go with my luck!

I robbin hooded my first arrow the first year I started shooting a bow. I was trying to hit a bottle cap hanging from a piece of string and I nailed it both times from 20 yards. Haven't managed to do it since

I've had about a half dozen robin hoods with carbon arrows over the last 10 years or so. My first robin hood came about 20 years ago on an aluminum arrow with the tapered back end instead of the uni bushing. You really had to center punch those old aluminum arrows to get the robin hood instead of a deflection.

For the last 15 or so years I have stopped shooting multiple arrows at the same spot. It gets old buying arrows/replacing nocks and vanes. I have only shafted one twice but I used to ruin plenty of arrows with the grouped shots. It is cool, and my first one still hangs up, but I'm too cheap to try to do it anymore. For the month leading up to season I only shoot one arrow in the morning, at noon, and just before dark. I feel the one shot mentality helps execution during the season.

Glad to hear this. I have said, for a long time now, that I don't care how many arrows I can group together. I just want to place that first shot right on. My routine is to shoot one arrow 5 times and stop. Yea, that means a lot of trips to the target. I have my arrows numbered and keep track of where each one hits. This is for my broadheads and all adjustments to my bow are made in reference to them. After the 5 shots I continue practicing with my field points mainly to keep the ol' arm in shape..

Robin Hood, seen the movie, but not made the shot. I also play golf and have never had a hole in one. They may come some day, but at $100 per 6 arrows, I'm not feeling bad about it. I usually only shoot 3 arrows at a time to avoid knocking them around. If it happens, it will be cool to see, but I sure like having my VAP #1's all healthy and ready to go. Congrats on tight shooting to all you Robin Hood's.

I try like hell to avaoid a robin hood as ger is so pricey. I NEVER shoot at the same dot on my target but I have so darn many dots, I lost track at 30 yards when the wife and dog interupted me while shooting and paid the price.with a slick Trick tipped arrow.

I usually do everything in my power to avoid a Robinhood. I NEVER shoot at the same dot on my target but I have so darn many dots, I lost track at 30 yards when the wife and the dog interrupted one of my shooting sessions and paid the price with a slick Trick tipped arrow.

I never shoot at the same spot on the target..I could hardly afford arrows growing up. I did pinwheel my buddies arrow at an archery shoot one year....

I still shoot at a different dot every time while practicing....guess im cheap!
