Savage makes a rifle almost the same weight as that $6,000.00 Remmy and for over $5,000.00 less. The lightweight hunter model. I'll bet they sell almost 10 of those.

Loveland, CO. was AZ.
6.5 Creedmore is a great round, but 6k. Like CC stated...does this include a tag etc....what are your chances for a sheep tag? Pretty much nil. Good looking rifle though.

I think if you just add up the parts that are used it comes to roughly 4500 so it doesn't surprise me that they are asking 6000. I'm not a custom rifle guy nor have I bought one. That being said if it's a true hole in hole third one touching gun out of the box with minimal tweaking the price is inline with other custom guns. Not for me but to each his own.

"titanium action" um, not really, it says "Barreled Action - Custom Cerakoted in Titanium color".

The 6.5 is overrated as far as I'm concerned but I'm sure it would drop a sheep if you place the bullet where it needs to go but that rifle isn't really worth it. I've got an X2 model rifle from Montana Rifle Co. It has a carbon fiber stock, bedded action, aluminum pillars, tuned trigger and it only cost me about $1400.

Yea, actually that is a titanium action, the cerakote applied is a titanium color. All the components seem high end and quality, therefore the cost plus profit margin = 6000.00. Not even close to the most expensive custom rifles. To each his own, made in America, I like that.

owning this gun is completely pointless. IMO no reason for it whatsoever.
But it has KUIU camo on it!
How many thousands less would the rifle be if it wasn't covered in KUIU camo? That rifle is as overpriced as KUIU camo clothing.
Will the rifle not be sold to chubby guys or women?

I can't help but wonder why all these rifle companies seem to come close to what we want... but it's never exact...

also why can't they offer a cheaper semi custom option.... like pick your barrel length and contour etc... or blue printed action etc...

also when you can get a tikka for $600 etc...

I'll see 1 brand and I'll like the barrel acton but not the stock.... or vice versa...

I think I need to start a rifle company...

might not be the place to ask, but anyone know a riflesmith/custom rifle maker in the IL chicagoland area?

Jason Hairston, owner of Kuiu, just used this rifle for his BC stone step hunt. Kudu ran a video about this rifle. I found it interesting that it is referred to as the "ultimate" sheep rifle and I was surprised at the choice of a 20" barrel. I'm not the most knowledgeable gun guy, but it seems you would leave a lot of the 6.5 CM performance on the table with that length barrel. I like the 6.5 Creedmoor and recently bought one but I don't know that I would consider it the "ultimate" for sheep.

The rifle I have hunted with the past 10 years is somewhat similar, it's a Christensen Arms, with a carbon fiber wrapped barrel, Remington titanium short action, 24" barrel, titanium muzzle brake, carbon fiber stock. That is nearly the same configuration but with 4 more inches of barrel length. I have never weighted the rifle sans scope and mounts but it was 6.5 pounds when scoped with a 4.5X14 Leupold. It has to be right where this Remington is weight wise. My thoughts are as long as you are in sheep country, most of which is grizzly country, carrying basically an identically configured rifle, why not carry a short magnum. Mine is a 300 WSM at basically the same weight. Had I build it today, it would have likely been a 7mm short magnum for a bit better BC performance. With the break, both my wife and daughter hunt with it and shoot it vey well. Just my thoughts.

I gotta say also.....I've shot guns like this in the past.......and if you have never shot a true custom rifle in your favorite caliber....you should so you can see the difference.

That gun in 270 wsm would be pretty sweet. And it looks like you can do that. The write up stated you can have this gun made in the wsm calibers.

People have to realize that when you are talking a custom built rifle that $6,000 is not out of line.

Most of us find that a off the shelf rifle works quite well and spend around $1000 for one but when you can afford a nice custom job why not get one made to what you want.

Seems like a steep price to pay, when GA Precision will build you a custom gun, in your choice of caliber, for about half the price.
