Purchased a New Hoyt RX8

Got the call yesterday afternoon my new LH RX8 showed up. Took 6 weeks to show up after ordering it which isn’t bad. It weighs a total of 5lbs with everything on it. I use a hip quiver so no extra weight added there. It’s suppose to be 65lb max but came from the factory at 67lbs bottomed out. I did a little shooting last night and had it pounding all the way to 40yds. Here’s a group at 20yds after about 6 shots. Very impressed with my new bow.

I haven't let myself shoot one yet but I hear they are nice. I'm still shooting a 2008 model bow. I'm at 311 FPS with a 425 grain arrow. Not seeing any new ones beating that but I know a new one would be a lot more forgiving. Maybe this year..

What made you choose the Hoyt?

I’ve been shooting Hoyt since 1994. Always preferred they’re draw cycle. Shot one and liked it. Lots of great choices in bows now days.

That is correct, lots of great options! Lots of personal preference for sure!
