I wonder if something like 100 hours of working at an animal shelter would do more to help fix the problem.

anytime I see a "lifetime ban", I think, so why wouldn't he just go hunt the following season and poach...

I think we need to motivate these individuals into fixing the problem.

Ban him from buying licenses that he wasn't already buying. I know this is just a step in the processes to more severe penalties but doesn't equate to even a slap on the hand.

This is just another person that doesn't follow the rules and regulations like so many others.

What makes the state think that he will be a good boy now that they have banned him from hunting and fishing for life? He has proven that he has no regards for the rules and I will wager that he will go one with what he was doing. It is just now he know how he was caught and that puts one more trick to poaching in his bag.

Until they start dishing out some lengthy jail time to these poachers I doubt that very much will change.

I agree wwhole heartedly, but at least it?s a step in the right direction. Hopefully the penalties will continue to escalate on other individuals.

I have to agree that a lifetime ban in this case means very little. His licenses have been suspended twice before. It's not likely that his behavior will change now. Lengthy jail time and big fines are needed for him.
