Dam! And I need to cut more fire wood!
Out west we cut our firewood before winter!;) I prob got enough for 3 more years here. My GF used to work for a tree trimmer and I would get it free for hauling it once in a while when the owner didnt want it so I got pretty well stocked up. Was gonna sell some but she quit working there so figured I better keep it since I wont be getting anymore.

You fellas need to start running gas heaters. It's cleaner for the environment, requires less energy and all that good jazz. :D

LOL negative packmule! If I bring a dead tree home and burn it it does not pollute anymore then if it rotted to nothing over many years, it just speeds up the process, and I do use gas.....in my chainsaw to cut the firewood;)

It's still not clean burning natural gas. What better way to stick it to the Dems than to help fascilitate the need more drilling and fracking. :D

I think I would go broke paying for gas or propane this year. Over 4.00 a gallon for propane, brother in law filled his tank twice already, cost him about 1500.00 last time. Boy that would suck!

Cost is most of why I use wood heat and it still works when the electricity goes out! I have electric too but I try not to use it very much.

Wow CC that's not bad! I also have floor heat with electric boiler, put in a free standing wood stove this fall. And glad I did, its been the coldest winter I ever remember, helped a whole lot on my heat bill. People are saying that there is a shortage of propane here that's why it's so high, but I talked to a guy from the coop who delivers propane and he said they can get what ever they want. Go figure just another excuse!
