My next trip in the area, I'm stopping there. I recognized the statue, I've saw pics of it before. I would like to drive out by his ranch & see it from the road also. I've been a huge fan of his since I was a kid. He is also my son's favorite. Everytime he gets in my truck we listen to "Hooked on an 8 second ride" & "This cowboy's hat".

Thats my army poncho. Not a great setup but it works and I already had it.

I dont know the brand. Its army issue. You can get them pretty cheap from army surplus places. Its ok but its a little small if you get bad weather.

They do snap together if you have more then one of them. Im thinking about getting a Kelty tarp cuz they are light, and bigger. I havent done a backpack hunt in a couple years. Maybe this year if I draw in CO!

I think summer is officially here. Had to crank up the a/c to cool the bedroom off enough to get some sleep last night. 80* is a bit too warm.

It aint that warm here, but warm enough the snow is melting.
