Its sure cold with the wind today. Think the yotes can live another day lol. Got some pipes froze in my mobile home, hope there not broke but guess I will findout when they thaw out. Still got cold water in the sinks but no hot water anywhere, and no toilet or shower. Could be worse.

Nothing left to do but get drunk! Fixed water lines, sewer pipes are froze, flooded the bathroom, pulled the plug out of it and I really dont care where it goes right now. Lit my burn pile on fire with ashes from wood heater that I didnt think would start it, no big loss there other then I wasnt planning on burning it today although it wasnt a bad day for it but took about 5 hours for it to light and its still burning. Guess my girlfriend wont be making christmas wreaths with the pine branches I had piled up on it. LOL Got deer sausage, plenty of fire wood and most of a bottle of Evan Williams:)

I think AR's are addictive. Not really even started on the first one ( got some small parts ordered and other parts back ordered) and I just ordered another blemished upper and lower from Aero Precision. Hard to say no to $115 for both with a military discount and free shipping:)

I love my AR. I have set my first one up the way I want it and now am getting ready to order a new one in January. My next purchase will be a Daniel Defense.

This song is awesome and my first rifle was a model 70 Winchester .243 my grandfather gave my father and my father gave me. I killed my first buck when I was 12 with that .243 and many bucks after that until my great uncle gave me a Remington 700 .270. My father was dead set and still is on me never putting a scope on his gun because "people using a scope instead of binoculars". My father quit hunting long before I was born because "there's nothing like deer season to make a bunch of grown men act like a bunch on kids". I can see his point and my hunting style has changed alot from my grandfathers. Alot of why I switched to the .270 was I wanted a scope. I think its where my model 70 addiction started! I still have both guns:)

My first AR is going to be a .204 Ruger. Hopefully I will get the barrel mid January. I didnt want it to be the standard run of the mill .223 everyone has. The 2nd I dont know yet but it may not be completely legal in all 50 or any states;)

I really hated the M16/M4 when I was in the army, mostly because of the trigger. The .204 Rugger is going to have a CMC trigger. I dont know what the next will be but I just couldnt pass up the deal Aero was giving and the way things are going who knows when they wont be available again.

-11 ambient, -28 windchill...this is getting old fast, I think this is day 4 or 5 without the temp getting above 0. So just curious, does anyone really know how tough a week or two of this kind of weather is on the a deer herd when combined with about 6 inches of snow on the ground? The forecast doesn't look favorable. I would think it would have to be real tough on the bucks that just got over the rut.

When your girlfriend dumps a bunch of molasses into the garbage and leaves the lid open then leaves for a half hour only to come back to a dog covered in molasses along with a ton of carpet stains, who do you get mad at???...the dog or the girlfriend??? I didn't get mad at either, I laughed when she told me on the phone and then she got mad at me and I had to clean it up and give the dog a bath. The lesson here is, when life throws you molasses you have to slow down on your drive home from work and hope that someone else takes care of your problems.

I hear ya ando_31!!!To dam early to be this cold. Supposed to warm up Here on Wednesday, sure will feel good. Get out and try to get some bobcat, you have many bobcat there? As far as the deer go here the crops are pretty much all gone and we got over a foot of snow there gonna be hurt in by spring, they are already eating in the yard at the bird feeder. Usually that Dont happen until February. We usually find a few dead ones or see some real skinny ones by February even when we Dont have this much snow early. We do alot of coyote hunting with the hounds so we do run into a lot of starving deer that the yotes get.

I have seen it get real cold for a week in early Dec here a few times the last few years but usually we have snow on the ground when it happens. This year we dont have any snow so I think the ground is froze pretty deep. Its warmer today. I have learned to keep my mouth shut untill she cools off when molasses happens lol

Climbing a tree is harder then it looks. I have about a 100' tall pine tree right by my house with electric lines on the other sides of it. After weighing out my options to take it down I decided to buy climbing gear and do it myself since it was about the same price as the next cheapest option and I would have all the gear to use in the future (I got it all put together for just under $400). I got up it about 30' today which was as far as I wanted to go today. Mostly wanted to try out my gear. I learned alot and found out where I need to make some adjustments before I go all the way up it. Definitely not saying I regret this decision at all but it looks alot easier when someone else is doing it!
