Im still waiting for "Found spotting scope and tripod on top of rock. Looks really expensive. I have no use for this, and would love to return to the dumbass who set down there in the dark and couldn't find it again."

I've lost a good tri pod in the hills before. And found a carbon fiber one about a year later! Score. Ya I posted it on craigslist too.............

-18 in Ely this morning. That's freakin cold! I hunted in -20 opening day of elk in. Ely back in 2006 and it was crazy ass cold.

There is a reason why I love bowhunting, because its warm!!!! I was at over 8,000+ feet elevation last year, and it was like 7, bit with the wind. Hated it.

Thats the year I had my elk tag in area 11! Day after turkey day I was butt naked doing the worlds fastest clothing change in -14 degree weather. I think I lost a piece of myself that morning!

Trying to glass in those temps is damn near impossible! You keep your hands from shaking and then your whole body busts loose in the chills to the point you cant hold binos or a spotter more less hold a gun steady.

It's 23 here in western Washington which isn't too bad. But it's supposed to be down to 14 the next couple nights. That's COLD for here! I'll be out elk hunting in the morning. At least this is better than rain which is what we normally have.
