It's amazing. Just the other day we were around a -20 and yesterday it rained all day. I can sit at my computer and see a vent stack on my neighbors home and it melted 3" of snow yesterday. Today it is nice and balmy in the mid 30's.

Ya have to love living in the Rocky Mountains. And people wonder why I tell them to prepare for the worst and hope for the best on their hunts out here.

A couple of years ago I was on a 4th season deer hunt. Set up cam several days early and did a little scouting. Sunny, mid 50's and around 30 at night. The night before opening, a storm blew in and it snowed several inches. Down to 0 that night and never got above 20 for the next several days.

You got it right.

On my first elk hunt here in Colorado it snowed 6" the night before the opening. I managed to bag a cow by 8 am on Saturday and was home with her hung up in my garage. That night the temperature dropped down to a -15 with clear skies. Monday came around and the temperatures were back up into the 50's. All this in just 3 days.

So who is up to try and break the most members online at one time record again. 3,404 is the record since November of 2015. It's about time for that record to fall.

Scotch, no need to put that much effort into the post pad thread. Glad you did though, I like pictures. Same reason I buy magazines, not books.

Thanks, I tried to make a post about the hunt in the Wyoming section, but I messed it up somehow. It just disappeared after I spent a bunch of time writing it up, I think I tried to post too many pics or something. It looks like five is the max.
