Applied for an upgrade in my disability, just looking at the ankle where I have had the joint replacement. If the damn Dr gets out a scalpel, I'll pull my carry pistols and we'll go to war!!:p
The VA is a gun free zone because they are worried about us doing just that! Thats not so bad, I was worried they operated on it.

The VA is so swamped with claims that they are contracting out a lot of stuff. I have applied for an upgrade/reevaluation of my service connected disability. I have 3 Doctors letters stating that my ankle problem was caused by waiting 20 years to correct my knee problem (which the VA said was not needed). The Va contracted with a Dr in Grand Junction to look at the ankle. He did his exam and said that there was a huge difference in my rt & lt legs. Of course he wouldn't tell me his conclusions, so we'll wait and see.

Hopefully there won't be a long wait.

The wait is really not bad now. My claims took about 2 years to complete the first few times. Most were denied and I had to go through appeals ect a few times which took another 2 years a couple times. My last request for an increase went through in about 3 months. Still some things Im not happy with so I will keep fighting them. I have been fighting with them since 2008.

I originally hurt my knee in 1964 while I was in the Army. Got a service connected ruling in 1966, with zero disability rating. In 1980 it was getting pretty bad, went back to VA and filed another claim. Took 2 years to get a 10% rating. In 1990 I filed another request for an increase. Denied, denied, denied..... Took until 2004 after a Federal Court lawsuit and my congressman's help to get to 40% (retroactive to 1980). In the 50 years I have been dealing with the VA it has been HELL (and I think that's the way they want it)! At least today veteran healthcare is separate from disability claims, so the service has improved some. But disability claims, don't seem a lot different to me now.......we'll see.

Good luck CC. had dogs out this morn on river bottoms trying to turn up some sheds, I sent dogs in to a thicket of thick brush and as they ran around the backside they pushed a big ole hen turkey off its nest, darn think nearly tore my head off, was pretty cool. was sitting on 4 eggs.

Thanks, I just rebuilt the engine a year or so ago. It only has about 3k miles on it. Took it to a mechanic and it turns out to be a bad valve guide, #5 intake is wobbling all over the place. Seems the guy who did the head work didnt do a very good job?
 Going to pull the engine, take heads to someone else. I may put a new cam/ lifters in while I'm at it. The cam I chose seemed a little milder than I anticipated anyway.

I did get the Toyota runnin! So I'm gaining:D

The things I go though for my girls;)
Well new heads, and still has the missing issues. I'm down to the distributor, it's the only thing left to change, and it was brand new. Damn thing is a pain in my azz.
