Good work! I love google maps, no matter how familiar you think you are with an area I always seem to find something new using it. Can't wait to see pics of what's lurking around this mysterious sleeper spring.I found a spring on google earth in my deer area that to me looks like a real sleeper. Took me a solid hr to hike down into it and set trail cams. I did find a good beaten down horse trail on the way out that made it much easier to get back up the mountain. I don't think many guys know it's there or would make the effort to get to it. I found a few lion tracks in the horse trail too headed towards the spring. I hope I get some photos of some big bucks but I think it's gonna be horses and lions. I'm going to leave them for a few weeks and get a good soak on them before I check and see what's there.
Good Luck!!!!Here I come Nevada speed goat!!!!! Leaving in the morning!!! 5 days to scout before my season opensHEEEEEHAAAAAA!!!!!!!

I'm not super familiar with the area but I am pretty sure a forum member shot an archery cow up there last month, maybe he will jump in and give you some direction. Also maybe try the search function in the forum to see past conversations about the unit. Good luck!I've been out scouting twice now in, in areas 62, 64, 66-68, looking for some cow elk, and haven't seen a single one. Plenty of deer and antelope, though. Do anyone have any advice on where I need to be looking?
This is my first year pulling a tag, so any advice would be appriciated.

You don't have to tell me the exact spot but what unit of the group have you been looking in? Don't get discouraged out there, there are lots of elk up there. Put some boot rubber on the ground and you are bound to get in to some animals!I'm headed out tomorrow to hunt, so I've been in panic mode trying to find anything out about the area which I thought I already knew...
