Obsession fixation vs Elite Option

I?ve shot Elite for some time now and I am looking for a new bow and have narrowed it down to elite and Hoyt. I don?t want to leave any doubt so I want to try obsession because I?ve been told they?re great bows especially since Elite is trying to get 1200 for the options and Hoyt wants 1600 (I know a dealer will cut a deal but still). But the problem is I can?t get my hands on one to shoot. I?ve heard they?re like an elite with an extra 20fps. Smooth, and solid shooting bows.

Just wondering if anyone can give me any good reason not to drive 100 miles just to shoot one. Obviously it?s not like I would make that shop my go to especially with a great one right down the road. I really want to give these bows a try, just wanting to see if anybody has one or shoots them.

Take it for what its worth....my Colorado gang of guys that are in the new bow market right now shooting and testing everything.....all have the same comments on all models from major manufactures.

1) "wow light"
2) "rock solid stable"
3) "really quiet"
4) "man it was nice"
5) "shot awesome"
6) "very forgiving"

I think even now more than ever brand loyalty is the choice people are going with as all the high end bows are pretty dang nice. If there is a doubt, then there is no doubt. Id drive and check it out just to validate your gut feeling.

Well I share that same feeling. Everyone is pretty well equal. I just think if it’s all equally smooth and solid accurate etc then I’ll go with the obsession shooting a good bit faster and it’s cheaper.

I guess I’ll just make the drive. I can’t seem to find a lot about them.

I’m curious how it will shoot. Like above most new high end bows are all going to do well.

Guess I'll just have to get an obsession.

Made a few phone calls and everyone seems to have the same sentiment. An obsession is Elite with a lot more speed, and they have better prices.

Buying used can be a great deal, know what your looking at, take your time and check them out. Make sure you always shoot it before buying . Used bows that have been dry fired or dropped can be a nightmare to tune or worse can be dangerous.

I agree! I bought a prime centergy all set up with top of the line accessories and with an skb case, for $300 less than the bare bow was new. The deals are out there!
