I would check out hiking stores such as Rei, I have a pair of Colombia pants that would make a nice hunting pant being a solid color. They aren't cotton either and can be folded up and snapped below the knee for hot days too.

Well, the internet is one of the most convenient and ideal place to search the credible and the branded online cloth store. When planning to buy a beautiful Colombia pants or boots or footwear for the hunting purpose, then one should surely opt the best store to buy from. I generally prefer to buy these things online.

I will shout out for the First Ascent line Guide Pro pant from Eddie Bauer. You can find it on sale from time to time or get coupons by jumping on an email list from EB. This pant has moved up in my rotation for sure. It's pretty feature rich and well built for its price point. If you buy online, they will custom hem it as well, which is nice for a stork like me (6'3" and have a 35 inseam on a 32 waist). The material is 2-way stretch nylon treated with DWR and is quiet. Just another option.

You know, long before it was popular to wear camo clothing for hunting, I used to buy from the Army/Navy store in our town. Solid, drab, Amy green surplus from ww-ll. It served me well, and I was on as many animals as I am now. More important than what you wear, is what you do. Most important is the wind. Animals don't always believe what they see, but they know what they smell. Just my opinion...

How do they fit around your boot? Are they tight or more like a boot cut?

When I first got into western hunting I bought several pairs of the old WWII wool pants like badger bob is talking about, they work great, they don't have any problems fitting over hunting boots. They're a little itchy if you don't have a base layer underneath. I think I paid about $20 bucks per pair on eBay about 8 years ago. I have since switched to sitka Timberlines and love them, but they're pricey

They aren't tight, but not a real boot cut either. Maybe somewhere in between. My thinking on a boot cut is like a western, almost bell bottom cut. I don't have any left, long ago wore out last pair. I don't know if they are still available. I have a variety of camo now. Mainly Real Tree and Mossey Oak. But the old stuff was effective.

I went to Duluth Trading and ordered some "Flex Fire Hose" work pants in Tan. I work on a ranch and use them - they are really nice. They have enough spandex in them that they stretch and don't bind, but then the other material is what they use to make fire hoses with. They run about $60 and have really cool side pockets and nice deep front pockets. I hunt in Sitka and love the gear, but for work I use these Flex fire hose pants. They may be a bit thin for late season hunting, but they also make a fleece lined pair or you could layer and spray them with a waterproofing agent. Good luck
+1 on the Duluth Trading Co."Fire Hose" pants...and they're tougher than an angry Beaver!

Check out the rainier chino pants at Costco. $20. Very similar to the Eddie Bauer guide pant.

I really like wearing worn out tan carhartts while hunting high country muleys. The color matches perfectly and they are pretty quiet.

My Sitka Timberlines are some of my favorites. Had Attack pants I loved too.
