I see that Mike Eastman is usually wearing a pair of blue-jeans when he is hunting. I suspect that he is sleeping in a bed at night on those shows. I do love Duluth Trading company, Carhart, and Arbor pants, but you have to keep in mind that they are all primarily made of cotton. I've taught survival classes for years, and have the mantra that "cotton kills". Once wet, it can suck the life out of you, so keep them dry boys. I wear Sitka 90% when hunting, and just add layers or rain pants (discontinued Russell) when the conditions dictate.

I have had real good luck with the First lite Corrugate pants. Fit tight on your boot like gaters, great for sept - oct western hunting. Reasonably priced, replaced my Kuiu Attack pants, which were good pants but fit too loose over my boots. They do feel like lounging around pants. The Firstlite are the real deal, plus they are wool-blend and shed moisture.

The FL corrugates are not a wool blend, they are all snynthetic. The Kenabs are wool. Both are awesome and sometimes I can't pick just one! The Kenab 2.0 also adds the stretch crotch like the corrugates have.

Mike has worn all of the Russell stuff in the past. The deer hunts in SW Wyoming are usually out of a camper.

I have not tried them, but the Prana Zions are supposed to be a good (affordable) option that are similar to the attacks. Wait for a 20% off coupon from REI, Cabelas, EMS, etc and that will get the price down in the $50-60 range. They show up on Sierra Trading Post on occasion as well.

By the way, since I brought up the Prana Zions, I figured I would let you know I found them on sale at EMS. $85 marked down to $63. Plus free shipping and no sales tax (we don't have EMS on the west coast). I just ordered two pair. If I used the 20% off coupon at REI I would have paid sales tax and the discount only applies to one full priced item.

I think I'm going to hope for another Kuiu sale. I bit the bullet with some brown attacks last year and don't think I'm turning back. Seriously, I would wear them everyday if I could. They did get little nicks and some threads starting to ball up a little, but it is all just cosmetic. I'm sure they will last a long time.
