Thinking of getting a new hunting back pack for an upcoming elk hunt, looking for something around 3,500 ci, that I can strap a gun or bow too and have enough room to do a 3-4 day bivy. Any suggestions
I have a gunslinger that I want to sell. I think it is pretty close to the team elk one.Yeah, Ive seen that 200 might be unrealistic, looking for a used Eberlestock Team Elk that someone might want to get rid of.
I think looking at a company like Kelty, that doesn't specialize in hunting, is a good idea because you will be able to get a comfortable pack that isn't as expensive. I know you could find a good Kelty new for around, or under $200. They will not have the gun scabbard; however, you can buy an add-on scabbard from Eberlestock. I think most hunting packs are heavier, some are waterproof, they offer some hunting application versatility but it will all cost you.If your considering a frame pack you can also look at the Kelty Cache Hauler.
