*New Google Maps Layout

Has anyone else been playing around with the new google maps layout??? PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I've discovered.

1. No longer do you have the TERRAIN option?
2. Older browsers do not support the earth view. You have to change settings or upload a new browser.
3. 3D version is lacking in remote areas, i.e the rocky mountain west...
4. The new 3D version is a rip off of the bing maps birdseye view and does not give you full control of your view.

I'm all for change but I think google did a serious disservice to the sportsman that use this as their primary tool for scouting. What do you think!?

I don't use Google Earth much. I found it lacking in it's abilities to use the data I need.

I've been using Google Earth for years and have tons of information and points plotted on it. Mine has been crashing regularly (like every time I use it) and I'm looking for a way to fix it without losing my data.

More specifically I'm talking about the changes they have made very recently. Probably in the last day or two.

I am an addict when it comes to scouting online and have literally spent weeks of my life using google earth, maps, USGS, bing maps, montana sportsmans atlas, etc. I'm not questioning the merits of this service versus another. Just asking if anyone else has used the new layout and come up with a different conclusion?
