Its really cooking...its will be 100K before long. Took a spin up toward Centennial and its all mostly to the South of there, also seem to be staying South of Albany as well. Its looking like its possible it might get the south part of Sheep Mountain, Woods Landing, and further south. Wind is really whipping and blowing mostly directly out of the West/Northwest.

Newest update the entire Snowy Range from hwy 130 to the Colorado line is in the closure area...including sheep mountain.

We need rain, higher humidity, lower temperatures and less wind...bad.

Unfortunately most of that isn't in the forecast anytime soon. Stay safe over there Buzz, appreciate the updates!

The fire is up to 151k acres and moving back to the north east. Centennial and the valley were warned yesterday that evacuations were very possible. Areas along Hwy 130 were also included in the statement. Firefighters are expecting extensive growth today. Anyone planning to use Hwy 130 to access the Saratoga Valley or areas to the north need to watch closures before travelling. Good chance that highway will be closed in the next day or two. Anyone hunting area 45 antelope should expect some closures in the valley as well as a lot of smoke and ash. They are still calling for rain/snow on Sunday night but amounts look to be on the lighter side so I'm not sure how much impact they will have.

As a result of the fire, hunters need to plan on increased hunting pressure on general areas that remain open for the upcoming rifle season. These will mainly be areas 13, 15, and 21 but may also impact areas 10 and 12 if they remain open. There are a lot of displaced general elk hunters from Laramie and Cheyenne that can't get refunds on those tags so most of them will hunt the next closest available area.
