Does anyone have any recommendations for a new carbon arrow? I'm looking to upgrade for next season. Thanks!

I shot the new carbon express pile driver pass through extreme shafts last year. They are small diameter shafts that weigh as much as the fmj shafts but are all carbon. Can't say enough about them. They are accurate and fly well

I have been shooting the Victory VAP shafts this season.
Awesome arrows. They fly great and penetration is incredible. I shot a pig, about 80lbs, it was working up a hill towards me and at 25 yards I took a hard quartering towards me shot. It went in just above the ear and exited the off rear leg and buried in the ground about 8 inches. I was shooting a 4 blade WAC'EM. Killed a buck later in the season with the same arrow, just sharpened the blades.

Black Eagle Deep Impacts, Rampage are both great shafts. Easton Axis or FMJ are good. There's a lot of great arrows you just need to figure out what is the best fit for what you want and your bow.

I recently compared the Easton FMJ's, the Easton A/C Injexions, and the Victory VAP's. The VAP's out penetrated the Eastons to 60yds, despite being 48 grains lighter.
The Injexions easily outperformed the FMJ's. All of the arrows were extremely accurate. For half the money of the Injexions the VAP's are definitely worth a look.
BTW I shoot the Injexions so bias is not an issue.

Shot VAPs with DeepSix inserts this year and liked them. Didn't care for the outserts that VAP has.

I have shot most of the carbon arrow over the years. I have yet to find a brand that doesn't shoot decent. Find the correct weight and spine brand name carbon arrow put good fletching and a good broadhead on it and try it out. I personally shoot the Easton ACC pro hunters on one bow and Carbon express on another bow. Good performance out of both setups.

I was shooting the Sportsmans labeled Vital Impact arrow for 6 years, at $40 for 6 arrows. I was talked into going to a spendy arrow to improve my performance, which already was expensive due to breaking arrows from tight groups.

I honestly had no visible group change at ranges from 10-60 yards, but I cried more when I broke an arrow as they cost me $90 for 6 of the Blue Streak "Select" by Easton.

I am not falling for that again.... If the less expensive arrows group tight...they are what I will stick with.
The only difference at first is cheaper arrows are boxed bad and fletching vanes are often bent....but easy to change so it does not matter much there.

I switched to VAPs last year, with the 39grn outsert and slick trick mags. Passed through a decent muley quartering hard away went in behind the last rib and came out in front of the off shoulder. IMO you cannot beat that.

If you can afford the VAPS go with them. A guy I was shooting with at the bow shop had a full pass through at 70 yds on an elk last season. All I've heard about them is how incredible they are.

I went with CE maxima hunters and they fly incredibly true out of my bowtech D340. I haven't released one on a critter yet, but as far as accuracy goes I've been extremely pleased.

I do. I bought the Bitzenburger jig. I haven't had any problems with it and its easy to use and customize. You can literally fletch any way you can think of. I still have my shafts cut to length, but I square them, prep them, put inserts, wraps, and fletchings on mine now.

What arrows are you using now and why are you looking to "upgrade"? Just curious.

As stated above like bows these days they all shoot good. Just wondering what your using and what you looking for in a arrow

Been shooting Easton axis. They seem to be very good arrows as we'll.
I second this opinion. I haven't switched since I started using them for a reason. I have tried around 20 different arrows over the years but these have performed the best for me. I have taken a gob of whitetails, 4 wild boar, and my last bull elk with them. I feel they get better penetration than any of the other arrows I have used in the past. The only animal that I didn't get a complete pass through on was the elk. I hit the off side shoulder so my arrow stopped but I was buried fletching deep.

I am sure that all the new arrows on the market are great. Technology is advancing and products will keep getting more refined. I however won't switch unless someone make a comparable arrow for a much lower price.

I love VAPS. I used them all last season and plan to use them this year as well. Penetration is second to none. With a good cut-on-contact broadhead, they are an awesome elk killer.
