I promise my story isn't as long as my wifes haha. I found this buck during the August archery season and put many miles on the boots trying to get a shot at this buck but he always gave me the slip. I have never wanted to get a buck so bad before it even started to takeover my dreams. i kept close tabs on him and had a solid plan on how to get him once rifle season opened. The day finally arrives and I'm sitting there in the dark waiting for the sun to come up enough to start glassing. Once it finally got light enough i locate the herd directly below me so i snuck around the hill and got into position while my buddy kept an eye on them. When i got down there and crawled into position i couldn't see them, did they spook? i get up on my knees and start waving and signaling to my buddy for some direction on where they went. he's not looking at me though i look back to where the antelope were supposed to be and i spot a doe 300 yds away i look through my binos and crap there is the buck right in front of me as I'm standing on my knees flailing around like an idiot! i quickly get into position and shoot, the buck never takes another step!
