lol. still ,,,, he'll get there before any liberal does.
Ummm, Teddy Roosevelt is considered a father of the Progressive Movement and championed the Square Deal which focused on protecting and promoting federal lands (antithetical to today's conservatives), controlling corporations, and consumer and civil protections.

I don't like to get political on my favorite forum, but you are correct in the historical sense. Ted brought common sense and compromise to the table and the folks he dealt with had these traits as well, regardless of party affiliation.
Keep in mind that the parties switched positions during the span of 1860-1840. Many folks forget this little fact. Things did not move as quickly as they do now... and I'm not simply referencing bullet speed. lol

Ted did much good for public lands and conservation and for this I am grateful.

Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was manufactured in England. In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York. This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever delivered to Mexico. But as we know, the great ship did not make it to New York. The ship hit an iceberg and sank, and the cargo was forever lost. The people of Mexico, who were crazy about mayonnaise, and were eagerly awaiting its delivery, were disconsolate at the loss. Their anguish was so great, that they declared a National Day of Mourning, which they still observe to this day. The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th and is known, of course, as Sinko de Mayo.

I swear, if my memory was any worse, I could plan my own surprise party!

You know you’re getting older when an “all-nighter” means not getting up to pee.

With age comes skills, it’s called “multi-tasking”. Now you can laugh, cough, sneeze, fart, and pee all at the same time!

Two young girls walk by a house on a hot
summer day and notice an old woman eating watermelon and not wearing any panties.
Girls: "Is it cooler not wearing panties?"
Old woman: "I don't think so, but it sure keeps the flies off the watermelon."
