How Late is

How late is to late to antelope hunt? I will be traveling back through eastern WY in early November and thought about trying to get a few antelope doe tags in order to learn a new tough access area since I'll be in the area and because I love antelope meat.
What are your thoughts? Is November 10th to late?

Nope, not at all. I tagged a doe one year in January.
Be prepared for possibly huge groups though.

I think the bucks shed their horn sheaths in November, but I'd think you're fine with does.

Other tags to consider would be whitetail as that would be a pretty good time and there are a lot of whitetail in parts of Eastern Wyoming.

True, but I've got WT in Ohio. But I'd didn't say I wouldn't hunt them in WY.

Sounds like you shouldn't be shooting that far if you can identify your target. They will more then likely be in large groups which can make finding them easier, but getting a clean shot with an open back ground harder.

That is a good reason to buy the best optics you can afford.
I can tell you when doe hunting or really any Western hunting optics can be very helpful. I know it could have saved many miles of walking for me. I will have quality spotting scope for my net trip out West.

I'm good on optics. Was more in jest than anything.

However, on another note cause I'm the curious type; what would G&F do if someone shot a shed horned buck on a doe ticket? I know different states have different rules on the east concerning button bucks and even short spikes. Would the discretion be up to the warden?

Give you a ticket, take the animal away, and likely your tag.

I assumed that was worse case, but wondered if they were lenient in some of these type of cases....
I'm not saying that they should be, but Ohio, for example does not penalize for a buck with 3" spikes. It can be tagged as a doe.
