Hello fellow outdoorsmen,
I came to Eastmans' on the advice of a member from a dying forum that focused on Big Game Hunting. Eastmans' came highly recommended, thanks for letting me in. Im not a "power poster" but occasionally have something to say or share.

Maybe you can glean from my user name that i love this state. I am from CO and live here still in Colorado Springs. I have a family and they all love hunting and camping; i am very lucky. I have a Environmental Biology degree from Ft Lewis. I have spent my entire life in service to this nation in one form or another; 26 years in the Army Reserves and full time Civil Service.

Thanks to the administrators for giving people a place and a chance to share and discuss.

Busy!

Good to see you here. I remember your avatar over on the other forum. What are you're hunting plans for this year?
Good AM MtnBuck, good to see you as well. It's shaping up to be a busy year. Everything revolves around my 12 and 14 yr old (14yr old in the avatar). They both have rifle bear, mzl cow and doe deer. They also have PLO rifle either sex deer and each has a WY doe antelope. I try to give them as many options as i can but it's hard applying for license in the spring, not knowing what their fall schedule and grades will be. Im heading back up to the Flat Tops 1st rifle to watch the throngs of people elk hunt... ;-)

How about you, anything exciting?

Wow, busy schedule you got there. I've spent some time in the Flat Tops myself. It is hard to get away from the people sometimes.

I'm elk hunting in 61 next month and chasing mule deer in 44 in Nov. I also picked up a bear tag for 44 just for the heck of it.
