These eat fantastic! Heard the same about sage grouse, but I'd still like to give them a try.

Sage grouse are fine to eat as long as you get a young one.

If it is past a year old they are like eating sagebrush, which is fine if
you like a heavy sage flavor

Those old bomber sage grouse really aren't good unless you put a lot of work into them. Young ones are almost as good as the blue grouse and similar in size.

I remember when Walmart had those NEF single shots on sale for $75/each. I should have bought the complete set. But I was too young to buy guns then. I begged my dad for them and he wouldn't get them for me.

That's what I paid for my .410 20 some years ago.
Dang thing gets used more than any gun I got. September- March grouse and rabbits.
