I absolutely love it when a bull like this comes out of general tag area!!!! Congrats to the hunter.
If being a crossbow harvest is what keeps it out of EBJ, that's just a shame. That's why it's not going into EBJ.
+1...Public land bull...DIY...record book..Hope to see it in a magazine just to see more pictures of himIf being a crossbow harvest is what keeps it out of EBJ, that's just a shame.
Well, I guess there's always EHJ.That's why it's not going into EBJ.
Yes, and they are both a legal means of archery hunting in Wyoming. I support ALL legal means of hunting and the hunters who choose to hunt with which ever legal means they choose. judge not lest ye be judgedOne is held at full draw in its own, allowing the shooter to aim as long as they wish with no muscles getting tired and making you let down, thus spooking the bull.

I would have outwitted a dozen more Bulls in my life had I been carrying a crossbow.Regardless whether he shot it with a vertical or horizontal bow, he still had to outwit this bull and get close enough to put an arrow through him, my hat is off to the hunter.

Me Too! Can you imagine being able to shoot prone hiding in the grass? I do however support all legal means like the poster above mentions. It is our choice on what to carry... Not sure I want it any other way.I would have outwitted a dozen more Bulls in my life had I been carrying a crossbow.no movement no nothing. Just look through the scope and wait to squeeze
That, and the fact that you don't have to draw in the presence of the animal, cutting down movement and also lessening the chance of spooking it.One is held at full draw in its own, allowing the shooter to aim as long as they wish with no muscles getting tired and making you let down, thus spooking the bull.

he net 408 boone and crockett when scored that way...will become 4th largest typical in wyoming history pending acceptance by b&c as well. . And according to the scorer..had he had the 7th point on his right to match his left he would have net over 420...just an amazing bull all the way around..and in the national forest on a general tag! Gotta love seeing a bull like this taken by a person instead of by a group like mossback and 20+ people that had spent every day watching its every move
