Probably because soon there won't be any public land to use those guns on.they say trump is killing gun sales...
kind of ironic I find.
no longer any rush to go get that gun...

Cute comeback Gr8, but it should be clear to see that very little of the doubling of firearms in private possession during the last eight years was driven by the sales of "hunting" firearms.Probably because soon there won't be any public land to use those guns on.
I noticed that this past summer/fall at Cabelas...and the prices were lower than they had been in over a year. Also .22 ammo is getting back on shelves.
Saw .22 ammo for 6 cents a round today at Cabela's. $20 for 333, Winchester brand. That's close to $30 for a brick, if it was 500 rounds. Best brick price I saw was $35.Also .22 ammo is getting back on shelves.
I'm cutting short a business trip to Oshkosh to head to the closing Merrillville, IN store which has two of my elk taxidermy mounts stored in their stock room. They came down back a few years ago when the store was remodeled. Some sort of façade was installed on the walls which did not lend itself to hanging critters.Gander had removed all the mounts and photos of successful hunts a few years ago. What I was told (quietly by an employee) was that the new owners wife objected to them and they were removed in all the stores. That kind of pissed me off, and I now only go there when it is my only option. Granted, this is hearsay and isn't verified, but the mounts are still gone. I just love going into Cabela's and spend most of my time looking up instead of shopping.
