Fun hunt with my son

[Hilltop]

Had a really fun weekend hunting with NE69 and my 7 year old. As a group we harvested a doe mule deer, a squirrel, a turkey, and a few pheasants. The highlight of the trip for my little guy was making a stalk on a small group of mule deer. We got within 15 yards before they heard us. One 2 year old doe stopped at 43 yards to look back at us and I was ready. Doe tag filled and one very happy little boy. He was so excited when he saw my arrow hit as he knew it was a perfect shot. He has shot enough at 3D targets to understand exactly where the kill zone is.

Terin is a blast to hunt with. I think he will be knocking some great animals down on his own soon. He never got tired or complained once, and his enthusiasm is through the roof. He nailed that squirrel with the 28 gauge.

Nice work Hilltop!! Those are my best hunting memories, learning from my dad and hunting with my own boys!! He will remember all of it as great times with his dad.
