Oh ya guys couldn't pass her up knowing the circumstances and knowing the wife wanted me to bring some Elk meat home this year!! I have let to many walk the past few years .....according to her!! Love that woman.......Mark

25contender- makes my mouth water looking at that nice cow... Really hoping my wife scores on her cow tag this year. Just isn't any better meat to me.

Yep that's why I put in for a cow as second choice when I put points as first choice. Get to fill the freezer if I do my part.

I called this Roosevelt in to 20 yards and shot him while he destroyed a fir tree. I'm sorry for the pictures, but I was by myself and wanted to get the meat taken care of.

Congrats to all on this thread who have posted em up! Mine ain't nothing real special but I worked hard for this bull beginning on Labor Day and put in some serious effort and time before God blessed me with this gift! What a sense of accomplishment! My wife is newly pregnant and so her tag is likely going to be a wash and I was completely on my own for this bull; no wife, no buddies; just me a couple of grizz and one lethargic rattler who I stepped on during the nighttime pack out! (poor little fella got the worst of it I'm afraid)

Again, congratulations to all the successful folks on this thread! We earn em all one way or another.

1st elk and a solo trip at that, drove 15 hours to colorado walked in the next morning. Started to set up my camp, heard him bugle on the ridge to my left. Walked down the trail 300 yards, let out a cow call . 3 minutes later he is flopping 30 yards from me!
