Over priced yes.....some of us though get all our camo and a lot of gear from Craigslist, Ebay, yard sales and auctions. The new fabrics are way more comfortable and dry quicker than any BDU I've worn in my 27 years in the military, that's why I get them.

The new marino/hybrid fabrics are great for sure and hunting companies seem to think that this material costs more if you use it for hunting than the snowboard/other outdoor companies think it costs if you use it for other activities..

I use burton wool and it is pry the best wool hybrid fabric I have run into and that includes kuiu.. At half or less of the price. Their 3 layer gortex jacket is well beyond the quality that kuiu/sitka/ or the rest is putting out again at half the price easy to find on sale in the spring.

Sometimes it "pays" to think out side the box when it comes to hunting attire.

Almost all my gear is old and half wore out. I purchased a pair of Sitka pants in 2009 when they first came out. They are super comfortable and my go to usually. They are no where near as tough as any BDU, and don't get them near the fire[emoji15]. I also wear surplus wool pants whenever I can find them for cold weather. I wish Sitka(or any others for that matter) still had the half zip leg. Not so much for myself as to be more convenient for my wife's prosthetic. I think most everything is just getting more and more pricey. I mean $149 for a pair of thin ultralight pants? And that's not the most expensive! I guess I will just keep on shopping the old outdated un-cool clearance stuff. I don't think the critters can tell the difference.
