Oh my…I'm moving to Alaska! A big congrats to you AKaviator!The drawing hunt results are in for Alaska. My son and I got Brown Bear permits in a good area on Kodiak Island for the spring of 2015 and he got an "any bull moose" tag west of Anchorage for this fall.
I hope you all draw well this year also!

Congrats on the tags, I'll be hunting Goats on Kodiak this year! I agree with Umpqua, I need to move there too!

Wow congratulations. I've read there are some biggins there on Kodiak and you all have some big moose out your way too. I hope you all have an awesome hunt AKaviator. That is awesome!

This will be my first Goat hunt so I'm pretty excited. I'll be with my brother and brother-in-law. I'm lucky to have three sisters that call AK home! They live in Palmer, Anchorage and Craig. I haven't checked a Grizz or a Goat off my AK list yet, so I hope to get at least half of that done. I can't wait! I love it up there.

Congrats AKA! My wife has some family up in your neck of the woods who have invited us to do some hunting, I am hoping to get up there in the next couple years. I assume you have a plane, what kind? I had to stop chasing that dream when I had kids but I have about 14 hours complete and cant wait until the day I start back at it. Want to fly the back country!! Good luck!
Thanks, I'm flying a supercub these days. Fun airplane to fly. I have a 180hp engine and a hope to put it on floats this spring.
I had a cessna 185 for quite some time and miss it when I'm going places, there's nothing like a supercub once your there, though!
Keep at it when you can, flying is a great way to get off of the beaten path!

That is awesome AKA, although Alaska would be on my list, when I am blessed enough with the option to fly back country I really want to spend some time in Idaho since it is so close. Some day...
